Field Industrial Maintenance/Repair - Traveling
For over 100 years, Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication, construction, and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Field Industrial Maintenance/Repair Crew Member will be proficient in organizing, running equipment, and housekeeping on the ground. This person will assist the foreman and crew members in rigging, running blast pots, and paint pumps. This person shall be trained in the proper use of all safety equipment for all different job tasks. This person will be responsible for safety, quality, and production standards and goals.
Essential Functions
- 100% tie-off when working on a water tower.
- Assist in unloading equipment/rigging from maintenance rig.
- Operate/understand all rigging procedures.
- Document and inspect personal safety equipment daily.
- Document and inspect rigging equipment daily.
- Responsible for completing own time card.
- Assist in cleanup of job site daily and at the end of the project.
- Communicate with foreman on tasks to be done and game plan for the day.

- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for one's own actions

Work Environment:
- Majority of the time is spent in the field and will work in unfavorable weather conditions; both heat and cold.
- Frequently required to sit, squat, talk, and hear.
- Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk at heights up to 200 feet.
- Adhere to Maguire’s PPE Policy and Safety Programs.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities. Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
